~There's a new adoooorable boxer named Hannibal. SWEETEST DOG EVER. I also get way too much joy being able to yell "NO, BAD HANNIBAL, PUT THAT DOWN." or "D'aaaw you're the cutest Hannibal ever |D" and such.

~MR. SNUGGLES RETURNS!1 And the tiny thing is still harassing bigger dogs left and right.

~Iiii'm pretty convinced that at least 80% of the dogs there are complete jerks. ADORABLE jerks, but jerks nonetheless. Seriously, who walks up to a sleeping dog, bites their tail, and runs off. D-dogs.

~Watching all the dogs RUN OUTSIDE AND BARK whenever there's a doorbell rung on TV will never not be funny.

~Also, must stop laughing at dogs who fall off the slide. UNPROFESSIONAL!1 but seriously watching a bulldog do it like three times in a row is great. MAYBE I'M JUST A BAD PERSON.

~It's dawning on me that this is my 3RD year working at Dog Days, and the place has been open for 10 years. I'm starting to see some dogs start to age or get slower, it's pretty weird. Mia was. . .7ish? When I first started, and now her muzzle's starting to turn white. It's so silly, but I'm really touched that I get to see a lot of the common dogs change over time (especially the puppies). I'll miss theeeem ;;

~All moved into the new place! \o/ I LOVE IT SO FAR. Though I'm a bit paranoid at night. It's a studio apartment so the main area/entrance is also my room, and I can see people walking by the outside window 24/7. Just a bit unnerving! I'll have to get used to it eventually, tho. And really, aside from my lumpy desktop, it's not like have anything worth someone breaking in to steal orz

~The only bugs bugging me so far are the ones that creep through the window and flock around my single lamp shade at night. I have seen like 10 different kinds in the last week. But as long as they stay away from my food and chill at the lamp we are cool.

~My futon SUCKS but I can sleep anywhere so that's okay. After throwing down at least 4 comfortors on it, it at least doesn't give me arm cramps.

STILL BEING PRODUCTIVE!1 Soo close to new apartment, tho the internet won't be hooked up until Wednesday. I'm bumming with my aunt til then because I clearly I am an addict.

1- FOUND AN APARTMENT!!1 Pick up my key on Friday and will move in next Sunday. It's a bit pricey (around $650 total including utilities), but that's a sweet deal for living in Buckhead. I'll just have to cut back on eating out so much and saving up every month.

2 - NEXT ORDER OF BUSINESS: Find a second job lolo. I'll be like 30 minutes from Dog Days, so that gives me time to take a morning shift somewhere close. I wanna save as much money as possible before going back to school in august.

3 - GET DRIVER LICENSE AND GET CAR. Even if it's a cheap old beat up one >| guh it'd make my life so much easier (and my 30 minutes from work would become -10- minutes from work.)

Gonna purge some of my stuff for the move, and then get on things for poke_arts \o\ WOO BEING INDEPENDENT.

In other news, pokeology_rp looks awesome. I just reserved Ash, but given that it's set -AFTER- Team Galactic goes kaput, it'd be easier to work with someone who either isn't from Pokemon, or someone's who's easier to figure out post!DP antics with. Ash is going to have canon adventures after D/P ends, so! Maybe I'll go with Hareta from the DP!Adventure manga. He's adorable and I've been wanting to play him somewhere. Stopped by the student financial aid office before work and orzing in the library right now.

Apparently, once you graduate you're completely ineligible for both the Pell AND the Hope grants! So I'm stuck with more loans if I want to go into the english Master's program. How did I not know this I busted ass trying to get the Hope back in my last semester aaaaah.

ON ONE HAND this isn't a big deal since I'm like. . . 50k in debt already. . .what's another 10-15,000?? And I won't have to start paying back the previous debt until after I graduate. Again!!

But like. I'm still teeter-tottering over if I really want to go back to school

If I complete the Master's program, I'm pretty much guaranteed a job! That will pay a good amount of money! For teaching! And will probably forgive a lot of my loans if I teach in a crappy underdog school!!

...................but I don't really want to be a real teacher any more. And the thought of going back to school makes me rage a little. I became an English major because of super shallow reasons: I wasn't making good marks in Art in my first year, so I switched to get my grades up real fast. Then I discovered WOW ENGLISH AND WRITING IS STUPIDLY EASY 8) For me, anyway. So I thought what the hell, let's go with it! And it was as easy as I thought! (it was a required MATH course that brought my gpa down like crazy ffff)

Except now I'm seriously regretting not going through with art or at least becoming a vet. Two things I'm super passionate about! But instead I turned them down just to get an easy grade. Most idiotic move in my life.

Now if I want to be SURE I can make a living, I really need to go through with this. I don't have anyone who can support me--I'm leaving my aunt's house ('it's not my home anymore, it's just the place I grew up in', as she bluntly but correctly put it) and only I can take care of myself.

I really, really love Dog Days. Working here, I think it's the happiest I've ever been in these last three years. My aunts call it a dead-end job, but it's actually doing REALLY GOOD and she's opening yet another store. If I stayed on full-time, I'm pretty sure I could make a decent living. And I'd be happy. But I'd have a hell of a lot of debt lingering over my head from bad college decisions.

Right now I'm leaning toward just going to school this fall to see if I'll get into the teaching groove and if it'll grow on me. If it feels right, I'll push through. It's only two more years, after all. If I'm completely miserable, I'll fall back on Dog Days. If the latter somehow doesn't become an option. . .I don't know. I'll find something. I'm not above working in a crappy pizza place again until I get back on my feet. I don't know how, but I'm pretty sure it'll work out. Somehow.

I got SUPER EXCITED this week because I finally found a one-bedroom studio to move into! And it was SUPER CHEAP and just 20 MINUTES FROM WORK!!1 It seemed absolutely perfect and I already paid the application fee! (but not a security deposit, nor have I signed any leases).

As soon as I was about to, though, something in the back of my head went "waaaait a second :|a This is Buckhead! The SUPER HIP AWESOME TRENDY part of town! Why is there a bedroom for only 550 a month, utilities included? Why hasn't this amazing deal been found yet?"

I checked out the room itself and everything looked fine! But still decided to wait til tomorrow to seal the deal.

So I checked 'apartmentratings.com' as suggested by my co-worker to see what others thought. AND LOLOLOLO :|

orz I knew it was too good to be true. The atmosphere wouldn't even bother me that much but like. I'm a tiny (tho chubby) girl living COMPLETELY ALONE. In an apartment that has no alarm system whatsoever. I like feeling secure! And I'm not getting a secure vibe. (apparently one resident murdered another in attempt to rob him last year). The bugs don't bug me (ha!) as I can just get my room sprayed but. The other stuff? N-no. I can't get my application fee refunded, so that's $50 out the window, but. I think I'll just keep looking for a while :/

There's also a new baaaaby boston terrier who is the cutest thing in the whole damn world (I know I say this about every dog BUT SERIOUSLY) and all he wants you to do is love him and hug him and he will lick your cheek for an hour straight if you let him. H-he's so cute and kept crawling under my legs and made sad noises whenever we left the little dog room ;^; B-baaaw I want to steal him.

Also, we have a new playhouse staircase. The dogs frikkin' LOVE IT. They climb to the top and just stand there barking for hours all 8DDDDD!!11 or run through and under it or get halfway up and don't remember how the hell to get back down. D-dogs, I love them ;;

For the last few days, RPing has been SUPER FUN.

But the downside to that is that I haven't finished aaaaany drawings. Ffffff. I totally accomplished nothing on my three day weekend.

Gonna GET BACK ON THE BALL tomorrow and figure out other Real Life stuff. I had an interview for the Graduate/Master's teaching program (FINALLY) and they liked me! But now I don't actually. Want to do it :| I rather just get a small teaching job and work my way up from there. Plus, if I work at a public school, I'll be automatically certified after two years under the TAPP program \o/

ON THE BOY FRONT he finally called me lolo. Only I was asleep and then his voice message became GARBLED halfway through. And I tried to call him back and the number was just static orz orz IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE.

Finally, there is an adorable new dog at work named Ethan. Ethan. Who names their dog Ethan. Really nice and hyper dog, tho.

Was supposed to get driver's license today, but didn't! First we were late because my sister had to drive around her kids' daycare lady (and I don't blame her--she keeps the kids for a measly $30 a week. I'd jump to do favors for her too if I was getting a deal like that). Then when we got there, my sister didn't have her insurance information. Totally my fault, as I didn't remind her to bring it. I thought people always carried them around in case of accidents or you get pulled over, but apparently you only need your tag number nowadays orz orz She called them and asked them to fax it, but then the DMV's fax machine broke down. Finally the test instructor got tired of waiting and left :( Alaaaaas.

I'm kind of bummed out, as I was REALLY excited to get my license so I could do pet sitting jobs (sooo close to getting a car) and that can pay anywhere from $50 to $100 a day, depending. Gonna have to push that back as I don't know when I can next schedule a test. I'm already taking 2 days off this month for another test and my cousin's graduation as is.

OH WELL. IT SUCKS BUT MOVING ON \o/ I have today, Saturday, and Sunday off while they remodel the daycare. There's a party going on right now to celebrate its 10th anniversary, but it ends at 8 and I rather not make an hour and a half commute just to get there at the last second. I CELEBRATE IN SPIRIT!!1 And am gonna draw and marathon shows and RP for the rest of my mini vacation |Db

For the last two days my upper lip has been twitching. It's not too visible, but it makes me feel like I look CONSTANTLY ANGRY or am trying to sport the thug look.

So I finally beat Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2.

You guys I. I have never cried so hard at a Pokemon game. Ever. Everrrrr. It was like Nintendo went "I hope you enjoyed your happy sunshine friendly fun game :D NOW HAVE A HEART WRENCHING ENDING 8)"

adfl;kad;f I was on the train when I beat it and had to hold it in until I got outside but wooow did I bawl. MY PARTNER. TONKA ;; That's his name, he's a totodile 8( I cried AGAIN after Dialga did that THING after the credits and was all !!11 G-gawd so weak to these things.

Overall I thought the game was really cute but mediocre until the final chapters. Also, apparently people had trouble beating Primal!Dialga :|? He went down on my first try, granted I had tons of Reviver Seeds. Right now the only things giving me trouble are Monster Houses and the "Grand Master of All Things Bad" lolo.

I REALLY wish they had touched on more things--did more non-dungeon crawling activities with the guild, explored your relationship with Grovyle more (ps norkia, I see why you like him so much now. GROVYLE ;^;!!), gave certain pokemon a bigger part (Celebi, Team Skull). . .it could be so much bigger!1 But it's a Pokemon game, so can't really expect that XD

Also I was sekritly giddy that my SOUL POKEMON turned out to be a Treeko. Hoho, MYSTERIOUS MARY SUE FORESHADOWING A CONNECTION TO GROVYLE!1 Sob I love this dumb game.
